I love editing photos. It is, of course, a given I first love taking them. But with editing I can take the picture/memory out, turn it in my hands and refine the moment in my mind. The most joy comes when I am just PLAYING with the image. When I am EDITING and struggling to produce something that’s HEAVY, often frustrating and honestly the only reward seems to come if someone “approves” of it. But when I am playing with a photo the reward is the yummy feeling inside as the image unfolds. This photo is my current metaphor/reminder…go play.
